Same same same here! The difference is you are an artist and I am a wanna be artist. I was in the studio yesterday and today working in watercolor medium Saturday and acrylics today. Watercolor went meh. Why is it that the thing I desire so much for so many years is just beyond my grasp? Sigh…Heavy Heart in TN

It takes perseverance and lots of repetition. Don't give up! Even after decades of making art, I have off days, and even off weeks. It a cyclical and mysterious thing that we chase.

I love these sketchbook pages, they are very evocative. Sometimes, a good way to deal with these feelings could be to just look back in your sketchbook or your studio and see all the work that you HAVE done and realize that taking time off, being bored or lazy is just a moment in a creative stream that mirrors your life.

Thanks Bogdan. And yes, you're absolutely correct! I spend very little time looking back through older books, but they are there for us to learn from. Looking through and taking notes on what I like / want to pursue further, is a great idea.
